The Chicago Academy for Advanced Technology (Chicago Tech) is a school for 21st century leaders. Students are held to the highest standards, with an extended school day and double periods of Math and English.
Approximately 200 freshmen and sophomores from all over Chicago are currently enrolled. Our student body is mostly low-income (77%) and African American. We will add a new class of freshmen each year until we reach capacity at 600 students in grades 9-12. Our teacher-student ratio this year is 1:15.
Chicago Tech connects students with leading technology professionals. We work with over 100 committed industry partners to provide Chicago Tech students with mentoring, field trips, work experience, and other opportunities so students graduate ready for college and careers.
