A Chicago Tech Academy teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual and leadership growth.

Teachers are responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success.

We are looking for entrepreneurial teachers that are comfortable working in teams.

High school positions available include: Physical Education, Social Sciences, Science, Math, English, Special Education, Technology, Foreign Language, ESL, Art, and Guidance Counseling.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences

· Modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs

· Commit to regular collaboration with peers to enhance the instructional environment

· Dedicated to the professionalism of teaching through meeting deadlines, coordinating, honoring schedules, and participating in school events

Education, Certifications, and Work Related Experiences:

· Must be highly qualified in subject area as outlined by No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements

· Master’s Degree in content area or Education preferred

· Experience with or strong desire to teach urban students

Knowledge-Based Requirements:

· Willingness and ability to meaningfully integrate technology across all content areas

· Pedagogical belief in the benefit of using differentiated instructional programs

· Philosophy that all students deserve the opportunity to be a successful part of a fast-paced and rigorous technological and academic environment
